N.F.L. - WIC Campaign
During the 2009 Season, the New England Patriots Radio Network and the Massachusetts WIC Nutrition Program will team up for a second straight year for a special program called ‘N.F.L. – Nutrition for Life’. Based on the premise that children are influenced by sports figures, the Nutrition for Life Program will use an athlete to encourage good nutrition and physical activity into their lives.
Running Back - Sammy Morris – will once again promote the Nutrition for Life Program during game broadcasts on the Patriots Radio Network. WIC is especially close to Sammy’s heart, because when he first got married, he turned to WIC for help with his kids.
Sylvania and the United Way have teamed up once again for Kicks for Charity. Sylvania donates $1,000 for every successful field goal to the United Way. Check back all season for updated totals! To See the World in a New Light, visit www.sylvania.com
For the fourth consecutive year, Millennium: The Takeda Oncology Company and the Patriots Radio Network have teamed up for the Rushing Toward a Cure campaign. For every 100 yards New England rushes this season Millennium will donate $1,000 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to benefit patients with cancer and their families. Joe Andruzzi, now in remission after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma two years ago, is back as spokesperson for his second year and welcomes starting center Dan Koppen as the newest member of the offensive. For the fourth consecutive season Whole Foods Market teamed up with the Patriots Radio Network to sack hunger in New England. For every sack made by New England during the 2009-2010 regular season, Whole Foods market will donate ten cases of their 365 everyday value line to the Greater Boston Food Bank. Over the past three seasons Whole Foods has donated over two thousand cases to help feed those who sought food assistance in Eastern Massachusetts and after a successful season last year 300 more cases were donated. Cubist Pharmaceuticals Science Education Teacher Leadership Award
Cubist Pharmaceuticals would like to congratulate the Science Education Leadership Award winner of 2009, Jennifer Adams of King Philip Middle School in Norfolk, MA. Jennifer was selected for her innovative teaching techniques using everyday items to bring science to life. Jennifer will receive a $500 grant from Cubist Pharmaceuticals to her school's science department, and have a visit from an alumni player at her school at the end of the season. Congratulations to Jennifer and all the science teachers who show innovation and leadership in the classroom. Four Downs For Finance
The New England Patriots Radio Network, Metro Credit Union and Tim Cahill's Financial Education Department would like to congratulate the 2009 Four Downs for Finance winners. Grand Prize Winner Marvin Sosa Mendez, 10th grader from Everett, MA. Marvin will receive a $500 savings account with Metro Credit Union and a visit to his class from Treasurer Cahill and offensive lineman, Dan Koppen after the season.
